After 2 1/2 years of trying to conceive I found out I had uterine polyps during a sonohystogram. In June 2009 I had a d & c to remove polyps and conceived my daughter during the same cycle. I have been ttc #2 since June 2011. I had a miscarriage in November 2011. Just last month I had a hysterscopy done and my doctor discovered uterine polyps. I had a d & c and polypectomy. I am 32 years old and I am worried the polyps will return before I can conceive. How long does it take for polyps to return? When should I seek help from a fertility specialist?

Hello - The rate of growth of uterine polyps will vary from patient to patient. Given that you had a surgery to clear them in 6/11, I would probably want to re-assess you annually. If it has been over a year since you conceived, I would reach out to a fertility doctor sooner than later.
