You bring up a very interesting question where the answer may be different for each couple. Briefly, the most effective treatment with the shortest time to pregnancy would be pursuing in vitro fertilization (IVF) especially for a 37 year old.

Some women may consider a tubal reversal surgery, but this is most effective for younger women largely. We know that as women become over 34 or 35 years of age, that their ability to conceive decreases incrementally each year. The studies with tubal reversal determine pregnancy rates often after 3 years of trying to conceive which is likely not appropriate in a woman of your age. However, other factors such as the type of tubal ligation you had or your partner's history or semen analysis results may also help to determine if IVF or tubal reversal surgery would be the best for you.

Hope this information helps. Please reach out to me and my team for further treatment options that may be appropriate for you.
