I was diagnosed with endo stage I when undergoing a laparoscopy in Dec 2011. I wanted to wait 5-6 months to see if we can conceive naturally before undergoing IVF. i just turned 36. Dr. said my endo was removed and now have a good chance of conceiving naturally. Any opinion as to whether you think it is ok to wait until summer before beginning IVF?

Tough question to answer without really knowing the operative findings. However given that you were told to give it 5-6 months, and that you just turned 36, I think it is reasonable to wait until summer. Best of luck!

What is my success rate now? I have stage 4 endo and had 2 failed IVF. Had my first lap done recently and B hydrosalpinx was found and I had both fallopian tubes removed, along with 2 endometriomas which ruptured spontanously. Now I have 1 2cm endometrioma left on the right ovary. The uterus is unremarkable. I have improved dysmenorrhea now but otherwise no pain. My RE is recommending another cycle with growth hormone and assisted hatching. SO now if my tubes are removed and the uterus is great what are my success rate?

Now the questions are focused on the quality of your embryos being produced in an IVF cycle. Ask your doctor to review the last 2 cycles to see what the quality was, and how your ovarian reserve testing was evaluated. I hope this helps.

Sincerely,
Dr. Frederick

My day 3 FSH is 6, AMA 3.26, inhibin B is 104.3. This last cycle we got 7 follicles 5 matured and 2 grade 3 one w 6 cells and one with 8 cells. My RE said the embryos look good. I hope this time it works but if not should I consider donor eggs or surrogacy?
